Aspect Dr & Cosmedix Peels
All our peels use chirally corrected ingredients, which means that your skin is receiving the ingredient in its most purified form, which cannot cause irritation to the skin, unless of course you have an allergy to that ingredient. When certain ingredients are not chirally correct, this is when you hear people have adverse reactions, mainly because their skin will not tolerate it.
Our range of peels are very gentle on the skin, and most are recommended in a course of 6 or the stronger peels, in a course of 3.
Most peels require preparation using a pigmentation prohibitor and a gentle Vitamin A cream, these are necessary to achieve the results you want, and will be advised at your initial skin consultation.

How often do I need to have a peel?
Most Peels are done in lots of 3 ( 1 per month ), although some clients may want less or need more in severe cases of acne scarring, acne, pigmentation and sun damage. The Salicylic Peel requires you to do a course of 6 for maximum results. Talk to your skin specialist about costs of skin peel treatment packages.
Are peels for the face only?
Peels can be carried out on any part of the body, including; the neck, back, chest, shoulders and arms
What may be improved by peels?
Peels are very effective in treating acne as well as reducing chronic acne scarring. Dry scaly wrinkling on the arms, sunspots on the backs of hands and forearms and sun damaged leathery skin across the chest; may also be improved through treatment.

Epi-Blading also known as Dermaplaning is a gentle method of deeply exfoliating the skin. A surgical blade is worked over the face removing the outer layers of dead skin cells as well as any fine hair (great for blonde hair that cannot be treated with laser). This treatment is a good alternative for clients with sensitive skin who are not suitable for Microdermabrasion. There is no down time associated with the treatment. The treatment can be used as a standalone treatment or in conjunction with a chemical peel for better penetration of product. Any fine hair removed during the treatment will not be stimulated or grow coarse. For best results we recommend a course of 4-8 treatments with 3-4 week intervals, although results will be seen with each and every treatment.

What do Dermaceutic chemical peels contain?
Depending on the particular Dermaceutic chemical peel product used, it may contain: glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) or mandelic acid. (See product range details below for further information).
